I give up!
Most of you probably remember my morgage problem. Well, we managed to work it all out and our home is safe for now.
I was even able to scratch up a little extra to pad my account for next month. I figured that if I could get just a little in the bank and be really careful we should be alright. Well, so much for haveing extra. FOr the first time in my life I have a tooth ack and I just know Im goona have to go the dentist. OF course I have no dential insurnace. I give up , I cant win for loseing.

I am sorry to hear that. When it rains it pours, right? But remember, you need to take care of yourself. Letting it go and turning into an infection will not do you any good. I hope it all works out.

I totally know how you feel, I HAD an EF and well thats been depleted and i mean ALL of it because of DH's job loss and lack of finding another job so we're making it by on unemployment, thank goodness I am frugal.

I would rather get the tooth looked at now instead of later when it is worse. Hopefully it won't be too much.

I'm sorry to hear about your toothache. But am very happy to hear you got the mortgage staightened out. I would check you area for dental clinics. they usually go by your income after expenses. good luck.

If you have a dental school in your area they often do the work for very little $. My parents go there religiously and have had a ton of work done for virtually nothing. They are very thorough and every step is approved by the dentist that oversees them. It takes longer, but it will save you a lot of $, even if you have to drive to a nearby city you would still save a lot of $. Also you might call around to some local dentists and ask if they are aware of any free or low income clinics or services. Our family dentist used to mention that he often got requests for free dental services and he has a couple of places that he referred to, places that were based on income. Its worth making some phone calls. Good luck with the tooth.

Gargle with SEA SALT. While it probably won't help with the problem, it almost always knocks out the pain.
My Mom was going to either have to have a root canal or an extraction. She gargled like a mad woman and didn't have to have either and that was 6 months ago.The math never lies, budget in INK!

First, I am so happy that you got the house thing worked out, stressful for sure. I am so...sorry about your toothache, those suckers hurt, and you really don't want it to continue because you could end up with an infection, which could mean more$$$ . Hang in there and better days will be ahead.

Glad you got the mortgage taken care of. Though to be honest with you dental insurance isn't all it is cracked up to be. I had to have a tooth removed a couple months ago, the total cost for that was $150, the dental insurance paid $9.60 of that fee. Like others have said, don't wait to long to get in to have the tooth looked at, I did that and by the time I went in the tooth ache caused an infection in my gums so I need meds to clean that up before the removal. The dental insurance didn't cover any of that dental visit, thankfully my health insurance covered the prescription for the antibiotic to clear the infection.

Dried clove wedged in the tooth will numb the ache, try that to get by.

Thanks , I know I have to care for my teeth asap. I may have to ask my mom for a short term loan. I hate this, the last thing I ever wanted to do was ask my parents for any money. We have managed to avoid it this far. They reallly dont know about our financial situation and its best that way. She knows Im frugal and knows we dont have extra money but she has no idea that we owe more then we can pay.
The only Dental school that we have is only for Dential Assistance, so no fillings or anything like that. Just check ups. And we have a cheaper one that is about an hour away. Im going to see if I can find something esle.

Glad to hear that your house is safe. We have a clinic near us that does work regardless of ability to pay. As others have suggested, look into that option where you are.

Great News! I just balanced the check book, dh gets paid on wednesday nights. And he got paid an extra 100 becuase of the holiday. SO if nothing else I will have money to get it looked at then I can go from there.
This is actualy a big deal to me becuase I have always prided myself on how pretty my teeth are. I am nearly thirty and have only two fillings
