neighbour this morn stabbed
twice this morning across the street from us. Cops, dogs, and all left after2 pm. OMG!!!! im so upset. The cops told my other neighbour nothing to worry about. WHAT!!!! Thsi was 8am in the morning.
Dear God!!! He broke in the back of her house(sliding door wasnt locked they were just getting up, her and her 2 kids). He forced his way in what i heard and then stabbed her on the way out after she said she had no money.
All us in the town house are so upset and scared. Dear Lord.
Shes in the hospital, he stabbed her in her leg . The kids are alright.
We asked the cops after before they left, they were rude or told my other neighbour 2 doors down, use common sense lady, when she asked what should she do." he was so rude to her.
All the ladies are talked to said all the doors are going to be locked all the time now.

Oh, how scary. I live in a small town, yet I always lock my doors. I am often teased, but I know that a locked door is often the only thing keeping someone from being a victim or not.It is just common sense, but if you live in a small town I don't think people always pause to give it thought. They just assume it only happens in larger areas.Did they catch the crook?

I'm very happy to hear that the kids are safe & sound - and if the worst that happened was a stab in the leg, she should consider herself very, very luckyDon't Breed or Buy While Shelter Pets Die

Thank goodness the kids are okay, and that she only got a minor injury. My husband used to never lock the door, but now we make sure it is always locked. I hope she gets better soon.

Oh how scary!! I'm so sorry!! Keep those doors locked and keep communications open with your neighbors. You all can look out for each other.
Dirty rotten criminal!! Someone needs to take him out back and beat the living tar out of him!!!
But I digress (can you tell I have no patience for this kind of thing?).

Yikes!! that's scary. Glad the kids are okay and she got out with minimal damage.
Too bad they can't put the neighbors at ease at a time like that...the "use common sense" thing....like that helps.

Wow! That is scary. We always keep the doors locked. My mother was sexually assaulted when I was thirteen, after my brother and I had left for school, so now it's just second nature to me to lock all the doors and windows. I hope your neighbor recovers soon. Keep your eyes open for any suspicious persons and be safe.

If security is a real issue then I'd suggest getting a dog, a small one like a Jack Russell terrier, and keeping it inside with you at night whilst you sleep. Best early warning alarm system there is. Also very few intruders will continue with a breakin if they hear a dog barking inside - their greatest weapon is surprise - not a gun or knife. The cards lie better stacked with you if they no longer have surprise in their back of tricks.

satbbed neighbour wont stay there anymore at house.
Shes home from hospital. the wounds wernt too bad thank God.!!! And the worst part is she seen him before , she knew him by looks around there. She seen him before, it was the crappy neighbours ex on her end of the building.(the ex hubbys).
She said that the door was locked, he asked if he could use the phone because he got locked out of the house. She knew he was married t o the idiot on the end before, and thought he was still living there. She let him in not thinking he was up to no good , and let him in. He followed directly behind her up the stairs and told her give the money and car keys over or he'd stab her. Thank God the kids were still in bed sleeping. Other people though they seen it. whew!!!
She ended up kicking him down the stairs because he tried to stab her the first time when he didnt believe her, she had no money. Thats in the scuffle she got stabbed, and he took off after falling down the stairs head first.
She called 911 right away and gave the description of him.
We were all mad at the cops non chalant attitude about it. And also the project manager because the ex at the end has let him come around lately. So shes at fault too. We want her out at least 6 of us we told the manager.
he had the gall to tell us without proof he cant do anything and cant just kick her out because we dont want her here and also all the phone calls he gets daily of her bull crap and swearing , etc every other day we hear and all the small kids too.
Well have to take it in our hands and call the cops every time we hear something about her to get her out. And as far at her ex---- they never caught him yet. ughhhhhhhhhhhhh
She told the manager shes moving out if as long as the ones on the end are still allowed to stay there becase she had enough of everything lately.
We dont know the half she said what goos on next door to here. And the manager wont do anything. maddening. Shes staying somewhere else right now, dont blame her.
God love her.

I would be scared out of my mind. This creep who did this is still on the loose and he could come back to your neighborhood. If I had no little kids around I'd be tempted to sleep with a gun by my bedside.

Im glad shes back up and home despite what happened and that the kids werent injured but it saddens me that the police try to play GOD and tell you to mind your own biz. I agree they dont need to tell you whats going on the same night things happened but be polite about it. IF you want respect from others you have to give it first, I dont care if its a break and enter that they're investigating or a murder - always use your head and treat others with respect! Grrrrr!!!!

I know I live in a neighbourhood of 80% seniors however when home alone I dont usually open the windows but instead I turn on a fan - kinda glad I live in the basement but b/c I do, Im super paranoid about shutting and locking all windows even if Im just running out to the store for 5 mins. I dont want to find no surprises when I get home! AND if my dads home I dont need someone to come up from the basement and surprise him either.
