My gross question of the day! For dog owners.
Do you let your dog lick your dishes before you wash them?
Just wondering, some people do, and some people think it's too disgusting...

No, not a chance. We don't even wash the animal bowls in the same load we wash our dishes.

LOL, I jokingly call the kids "soap" and "water" after the old joke. Yes, they get to lick the dishes here as long as it's not bad for them. And Daisy Mae and Lil Abner REALLY like when we have ice cream!

No I don't let him. BUT when I had my Rotty, I used to have a fork and large spoon "just for her" and would feed her by fork/spoon any leftovers on the plate. She ate so nicely lol

Blue and Lady clean plates, bowls and pots and pans almost better than my dish washer. My mom always fed the household pets off the dishes, her theroy was pets are a responsiblity just like children and should be treated as such. Also it cuts down on trash and waste.
All dishes including the water bowls and regualr food bowls get a good washing every week.

Ew no way. They lick their butts, there is no way they are going near our plates.

No, we don't allow that. Once my DH caught our middle son allowing Spike to lick his ice cream bowl. DH threw the bowl in the trash he was so grossed out. Thank goodness it wasn't one of my good bowls but one of those cheapie plastic ones.

If there's something on our plates that I know Spike will enjoy (which is just about everything) and won't hurt him I will scrape our plates into his bowl. His bowls are washed weekly and seperatly from our dishes.

That doesn't gross me out all! We don't usually let her do it, though. We want to keep her from getting overweight and begging us for food while we eat.

No. I actually don't think it's that gross, but I imagine that it would encourage begging for table food which I absolutely cannot stand. None of our animals have ever had a bite of table food and never will.
