    Default online banking

How many people do their banking online? How much do you think you save by doing this (stamps)?
I pay almost all my bills through my bank, except rent. For most it is an electronic transfer, and for the others they send out a check (medical payments - i pay weekly payments). I never forget to mail a bill and they are always on time.
Average month I have 22 bills going out (3 are weekly payments) I save $9.02 on stamps, and not having to go through the hassle of going to buy them!!! I buy 1 book and they now last me months (except for Xmas time).

I'm with you on this one! The only checks I write are for the blacksmith and ironically for the home loan, the reason for this is I pay it in person and usually a few weeks early and my bank won't let me use my debit card for it, go figure, lol! I also make at least one extra principal payment a month, usually when running multiple errands.

I've saved well over $100.00 in postage, never have a late bill and no extra paperwork.

I do what I call a "one touch" bill payment too, when I get the mail I immediately log on to our banking site and set up payments, mark the bill paid and off to hubbies desk for filing it goes! So much less stress and mess.

I pay everything online except for rent and water bill (it's local and I can't pay it electronically).

I love it because I have no extra papers in the mail so I'm not only saving money but saving trees. Now if I can just get everyone that gets paper bills to shred and recycle after they don't need them for records, I would be happy. Haha.

I pay everything I can online. The only thing I don't pay online is rent. So far, for the last several years (knock on wood), I have not had any problems.

    We have 5 bills:
1)mortgage - have to mail it
2)power - can pay online, but usually drop it off
3)water/trash - it is handled by our city, but we are able to pay online
    4)cable/phone/internet - pay it online
    5)insurance - pay it online

I always mail my mortgage payment via priority mail with delivery confirmation - it is only $5.25 and well worth the peace of mind I get. I like to have it there and taken care of ASAP.

Our mortgage and car insurance comes out automatically every month. I pay water, cell phone, home phone, internet, electricity, gas, and garbage online. I had never calculated it before, but now that I think about it I'm saving $3 to $4 a month. The only bill I can't pay online is our homeowner's association dues.

I pay pretty much everything online that I can, car payment, credit cards, student loans. It saves me a ton of postage, and I don't have to worry about bills being paid late.

I pay everything online or over the phone. I think I have only bought one book of stamps this year.

Some of our bills I have set up to deduct automatically from our checking account. It is the bills like the phone bill and a loan payment that I know will be the same amount each month.

I pay my credit card online. Thats it. But my cell phone, internet and gas for my truck are put on the credit card. One easy payment and its done, however if I have spare cash Ive been known to dump extra money on my credit card and one month I recall making 6 payments to it

I have everything I can directly withdrawn from my account so I cannot forget to pay it. The few bills that I have to pay I do online. I am not sure how much money it saves but it sure saves my sanity. It is so easy!

I pay everything online that I can - I love it - it's amazing how long a book of checks can last me now....I used to go through a book of checks in 2 - 3 weeks, now it's 2-3 MONTHS!

Most of our bills are paid electronically. We do not have it set up to do it automatically..have had mucho problems with that in the past. But it's no biggie to go in each month and send the cash.

Our cell phone bill is paid using our cell phones. Love that

I pay everything except the gardener online. I resisted doing it for the longest time, but now I find it so easy I would hate to go back and write out all the checks every month.
