Unhappy Flying Vinegar - This is freaky!

Ok I think I have a ghost in my house. He/She is hiding in the laundry room!

I just went to go grab my towels to hang them on the clothes line out back and came back down to the basement. Im sitting here, surfing the village and I hear a 'tock....TOCK!' noise. So I go check the laundry room where the noise sounded like it came from.

The vinegar is on the floor, pouring its contents out b/c the lid mustve popped off when it hit the floor. The funny thing is, the vingear was on a shelf over the dryer, which is attached to the wall.

I know I pushed it all the way to the back of the shelf b/c Im OCD about keeping the laundry room neat and organized though I am a clutter bug. The bottle of liquid Tide is still there along with other items stored on that shelf. Yet somehow the vingegar came flying off the shelf bounced off the dyer and landed on the floor.

Right now, I have a towel over the puddle of vinegar with a laundry basket pressed on top trying to soak it up and I still cant find the lid! Vinegar doesnt evaporate like rubbing alochol does it? And to think, I lost about a litre of vinegar! Grrr!

    Ffffrrrrrreeeeeeeeeaaaaaakkkkkyyyy!!

Hmmm, have you ever noticed anything else going on? Maybe he/she doesn't like the smell of the vinegar!

Hmmm, maybe he/she's trying to tell you something? Wouldn't know what though, around here that would be the reminder to clean the coffee maker, since it gunks up with our hard water.

Now if he/she starts chucking bars of soap AT you I'd start worrying

HAHAHAHA I hope not! I bought a crap load of Ivory 3pk's when they were just $0.50/each and they're stocked up elsewhere with my extra toiletries! The TP was on the same shelf too - those havent become suicidal yet

I told my dad and he thought I was nuts. He said the heat from the dryer may have caused the gases in the vingear to combust? But hello....the dryer wasnt even turned on and the washing machine is about 3 ft to the left of the dryer. He's in denial that theres a ghost.

And now my toilets backed up/broken. Not really clogged up persay. But thats another thread.

Hmm, maybe your ghost thinks the vinegar will unplug the toilet? Who knows, it might just work!

Sounds like the spirit of a child playing tricks.

I had a very noisy "poltergeist" type spirit in my house when I moved here. Every night, when we would go to bed, it would start the ruckus. Things would fall, bang, whatever. My son was 12 at the time, and was so scared, he was sleeping with me every night!

One night, I sat up in bed and said "Look, you can stay, but you have to be quiet!" The noise stopped, and has never come back.

That's awesome. Has anything else happened in the house? Do you know the house's history? It might be worth going to the library and researching to see if there might be a connection with past owners. I love this kind of stuff. Update us if anything happens or you find anything out. How long have you lived there? Are there neighbors that have lived in the neighborhood for many years? They might be ones to talk to about past owners as well.

Hehehe its one of those things that Id love to know but I think Id rather not? KWIM?? There are a few neighbours still left here that are alive lol - this is toally a seniors neighbourhood slowly turning into a family area - house by house, sadly as another elderly person/couple dies and/or moves to a seniors home. I think if I reserached it I'd be scared but Im also not brave enough to approach the neighbours go figure eh?

Nothing else really has happened - that I know of *touches wood* I dont need anymore things to happen either but if they do b/c of a ghost, I truly hope its a good ghost that wont come and try to haunt us. I thought we've been great neighbours for the past 7 yrs!

As for using the vinegar in the toilet, I started doing that a while back. I use Lysol to clean and then vinegar diluted to rinse on occasion etc. So its not like I never use it in there LOL unless thats the ghosts way of communicating that my toilet was royalled screwed! LOL
