It left me with the question; Why are there so few males on here?

    I welcome your input.

    Who knows...
One thing I do know is that posting in FV won't make you less of a man.

I echo what Darlene said..... . I know that the lack of males and male participation is not from any form of discouragement. I guess the community was started by mostly women (the admin and her husband started it, naturally) but it seems to attract mostly women. Could it be b/c we're a little chattier and maybe that has discouraged some men.....?

I have to second what Darlene and PrairieRose said, we welcome all frugalist, male, female, young or old. Everyone has something to add to the forum and the more diverse we are the more we can learn.

Could it be a time issue? I work full time, but have a job with lots of downtime and a computer connection, so I do a lot of visiting and posting there. If that were not the case, I simply would not have the time to spend much time here.

And it might feel to them a bit like crashing a hen party! But they would certainly be very welcome. I wonder if more lurk than post?

PS -- I am NOT implying that men are busier than women! We all have crammed full lives. Maybe it's that we really are a chattier lot, a someone suggested, with what time we do have.

My husband gets on here and reads posts with me from time to time, but he won't take the time to start his own user profile or post feedback. If there is a post I think he would like I bring it up and tell him to read this.

I guess there are just not many of us househusbands.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Shade reads but doesn't really have time to post. He works full time and then he has the BBQ business started now and its really picking up.
If I see something I think is real important I tell him and he grabs a minute
    or two to read it.
Please post away as I'm interested in mens ops also.

In our house, I take care of the finances....shopping, bill paying, balancing checkbook, etc. So, he has no interest in learning and/or reading about frugality since he isn't the one doing the spending. DH never writes a check or uses his debit card, after he deposits the "bill money" into the checking, he keeps what cash is left from his paycheck and uses that for his gas money, etc. but he mostly squirrels it away in some secret place lol (he is soo tight he squeeks when he walks!) I am striving to be more like him.
