Phone call from my daughter
First, I will tell you everyone has survived the day at home, even me. As many of you know, Chloe has been supervising her little sister. Here is a synopsis of the call I received at work.
Chloe: Hi, Mom, can I use the cordless screwdriver to take off the switchplate in my room so I can paint it?
Me: You don't need to get out the cordless, just use the regular one
C: Oh the cordless is already out, I had to use it when I took off Rachel's door.
Me: WHAT? Why did you take off Rachel's door?
C: Oh, she got stuck in her room
Me: Oh my God, is she out now? (preparing to make a mad dash home and call 911)
C: Yeah, she is fine, she was really upset but I gave her a whole bunch of ice cream and now she is laying down on the couch watching tv
Me: How did she get stuck in her room?
C: She got mad and slammed her door and it got stuck because of the candy
Me: The candy?
C: Oh, there was a jawbreaker where the little thing goes in and it made the doorknob come off. I also tightened some of the screws in the kitchen and I reattached everything I took out to get Rachel out (sighs impatiently) so can I?
Me: Can you what?
C: Mom, pay attention! Can I use the cordless screwdriver to take off the switchplate in my room!?!
Wow.

I'm sorry it made me laugh......... She's been using it(smart girl) on everything else and then asks your permission on the switch plates in her room. At least she kept her head and did what she had to do.
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.
