    Default Hello all

Since I'm laid up for awhile I thought I'd catch up on what's going on. I fell down the steps ( I'm such a clutz) Saturday and have at least 30 stitches in my knee. Opened it to the bone I did. I was never one to do anything half way. Then Monday I went to the Dr. and found out that it's infected so I have to stay off it.This isn't good since everything int he garden is just about ready to can. I guess I willhave to get the rest of the family to pitch in and help. I have ahard time asking for help but I really have no choice this time. But I am very bored not to mention my butt is sore from sitting. lol!! Hope everyone has a good day.

Oh man, sounds really painful. I'm sorry you're laid up I know how hard that is for any amount of time. Take care of it so it doesn't stretch out into more time....! Have fun surfing and reading, catching up on Judge Judy .

Thanks guys. The funny thing is..........it really doesn't hurt and it didn't bleed. The only reason I looked at it was there was a tiny wet spot on the leg of my sweat pants. It didn't even tear my pants. Yep the bone was there. If I would have hit 1/8 of an inch lower I'd have broke the shin bone. I'm really keeping an eye on it cause a friend of mine lost her leg because of an incompodent (sp) doctor. left something in her leg when the operated.

sending healing thoughts! It's hard to rest sometimes when you know there are things to do. My sister took a month off to paint up her daughter's flat and then fell off some steps and broke bones in her foot. She has to rest as well and is finding it tough!
    Quick healing for you

take care!!! i hate to hear about your knee but i hope you do as the doc says and stay off of it. it will probably heal quicker if you do and less risk of reinjury. its hard for me to ask for help too. but maybe no one realizes that you need help until you ask -- maybe they will be glad to pitch in and help and feel good about it. you could even sit at the table and do what you can and then supervise the rest
after you get well you could have a "canning team" dinner or lunch with your helpers to thank them.

Well my knee seems to be healing ok. If I'm on it too much you can see the infection spread so I stay off of it. Mu hubby has already spread the news to his daughter that she will be helping out . Wasn't too happy about it. She's at the stage where she wants paid for everything and this is not a paying job. After all I don't paid for it lol. so here I sit again surfing.. oh nno!!!!! I've reached the end of the Web Thanks again for the get well wishes
