    Unhappy Bridge in Mpls. Collapses!

We live in the area. They think 50-60 vehicles were on the bridge, so far they've confirmed 7 dead and at least 20 people unaccounted for. It's HUGE. I was not called in to work, but probably they are sending folks to the Mpls. hospitals. I hope that we don't know anybody there....

I saw that news just before I logged on here and wondered if any of the villagers were involved -- I hope not, and it is just too horrible for those who were. What at ghastly thing to happen.

deadmort I'm SO GLAD you weren't on that bridge yesterday.

A man on another forum I belong to is an EMT there, he was not on duty last night but many of his friends were, he says the devastation is unbelievable.

What really amazed me was that school bus FULL of kids that JUST made it across.

Prayers to all involved in this horrid tragedy.

I also have use the that bridge and it is scary to think I could have been on it. I was already scared going over bridges so this did not help.

I watched it all last night on CNN and was shocked at the devastation. I just can't believe how it crumbled like it did.

My prayers go out to all the families affected by the tragedy.

I feel so horrible about this- this is one of my fears when crossing a bridge (I live near Pittsburgh)! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those involved in this horrible freak accident!

Another forum that I am a part of, a woman is missing her brother in law and his family! This is horribly sad!

What a devastating accident. I too have a fear of bridges and that doesn't help me out any. I feel horrible for the people involved, and I hope for the best.
