    Default Surprise Raise!

    So you may or may not now, but I work part-time at Bath and Body Works. I recently worked my butt off to be promoted to the title of Beauty Specialist. Basically what that is, is someone who has extensive product knowledge about all the high-priced skincare haircare and makeup products we sell in our flagship store. I figured the position came with a raise, but it was never mentioned. A few weeks ago I asked my friend who is a manager about getting a raise. I told her that I hadn't gotten one since I had gotten promoted. She said that the company wasn't sure if they were going to keep the position of beauty specialist yet. I hadn't heard anything back about it and I kind of forgot about it. I looked at my paycheck online today to see if I was going to get anything tomorrow, since I was on vacation for 2 weeks. I was looking over some of my information and I had noticed the my pay rate went from 8.0, to 10.0! I got a $2 raise! What a great surprise!
