    Talking Newbie

    Hi all,

    How did you hear about frugal village? I did a Google search

    What interests you here? Tips, money management, ecological things (want to buy solar panels and a sun boiler) ,I like to read how others think / live and this seems such a friendly place.

    Do you know any other members here? No

    How many kids? Ages? 1 3-y-o-Daughter

    Tell us about yourself. Well, I'm 32 years old and live in the Netherlands. I'm not as frugal as should and hope to learn a lot from you. I do not have any debts, but would like to add to my savings account

    Do you own any pets? Yes, we have two flatcoated retrievers

    SAHM or Working mom? Working mom, 3 days a week

    Married or single? Married

    Interests and hobbies? I love literature, but currently do not have the time to read a lot.


    Oh, and I have a question. What is 401k? Is $ 401.000 the amount of money you should have/ save for you retirement? If so, why exactly this amount?
