Why not find an old metal cookie sheet at the thrift store & paint it instead of getting the sheet metal?

I think a stipple brush is just a blunt brush w/ stiff bristles that you use the end of the bristles to tap-tap-tap.

The stipple brushes aren't that expensive, they have them at some dollar stores. I like the idea of using a cookie sheet!

ok, i take back the part about the paint being no problem. I just checked out what i have....

I have acrylic, kids paint {I don’t know why}, and a half-gallon of primer for walls.

How about using the round lid off of one of those cookie tins or the tins you get at Xmas with the popcorn in them.......your sign could be round.

paint on the back side of the cookie sheet and use the lip at the hanger..some of them even have holes in the handle that you could use to hang it by..would have to change direction of the design..as for brush if you can't find a cheap one you could use an old brush cut off to stubs. I have used a corner of a sponge too.
