Its only day three and Im going nuts!

Dh has only been gone for three days but I am over it. Im pooped, the house is clean the kids are clean the cats are clean. Even the inside of my vacumme is clean. (YOU GET THE POINT) I have three more days to go. Tomarrow I get my tooth pulled but I have nothing planned for friday or saturday. ITs too freaking out to go out side at all. It was 107 today! Thank god I dont live in savannha is was 121 after the heat index. I just wanna lay down and sleep, not an option with the kidos. Im running out of things to do with the kids indoors. Today we even played with mr potatoe head, he has no eyes or mouth pieces. Dont ask me what happened to them. I wanna do some painting but I dont have enough paint to finish the job and I really shouldnt spend any money at all. Besides its just a big pain to try to paint and keep the kids out of it. I would like to do something with the play room but Im am running out of creative ideas that dont cost much. Anybody know how I can turn green or navy blue curtains into purple ones? I need purple curtains and have a some old ones in the garage that I hate seeing go to waist.

Can you dye the curtains in the washing machine with RIT dye?

I've had good luck with RIT dye. Bleach them out first, then dye those puppies! If they are really uneven get some more dye and tye die them. If it is for a plaroom the probabl don't have to be perfect. Oh and don't get the RIT color remover. Plain old dye will do the trick.

So you think I should bleach out the blue ones and then try to get them purple? I guess if they turn out horrible Im not realy out anything. I dug out the primer and to my surprise I have not one but two cans of summer yellow paint! I just couldnt find a roller. I have a 10 kmart gift card that I will use to pick up a roller and some dye. Isnt it amazing what you can come up with when you start diging around. The kids are so excited that I am going to do the playroom. It the only one I havent decorated yet.
