    Question Kijiji/Craigs List - Should I? Shouldnt I?

Ok Im new at this whole selling locally online thing.

I have an older smaller tv (13") that loses sound on occasion which is why Im going to get rid of it. But instead I think I can make a lil bit of cash from my free tv (um...ex bf forgot that I still have it? LOL)

Should I or shouldn't I post this up for sale or just toss it?

I also have a pair of thong sandals I bought for a special occasion and wore twice last year that I recently found in my closest while decluttering. Perfectly great condition - basically brand new.

Being excellent consumers that you are with your wealth of knowledge - would you buy these things from a site like that if you were to see them?

Any advice or tips on how to sell on a website like that?

You could try to sell the TV on craigslist. Be sure to include a picture and a good description. Take into account that someone will have to come pick it up from you, so that will cost them gas money. You might only be offered $5 for it, but profit is profit!

As for sandals, those are more easily sold on ebay, or other online trade/barter sites. You could also look on livejournal for selling communities too. They usually do well.

    Thanks for the tip!

Ive never sold anything online like this but have purchased. I know I will make the sale to someone local and am willing to meet them at the mall parking lot with my bf for when this transaction should take place. I like my privacy

Just wasnt sure where to try to sell the actual 'stuff' and 'clothes'

I say try selling them both on craigslist and avoid ebay since the fees and stuff might not be worth it.

If it were me, I wouldnt purchase the tv unless I can fix it so try keeping the cost low but if there are no takers just post on there as a freebie.

If you decluttered your closet and have other clothes to get rid of you may consider consigning them at a local consignment shop. As for the TV I think I would put it on Freecycle. Unless it is a high dollar item, people really don't want to pay for something they will have to later fix.

    Default update

I did it! I took a few pics of my tv and resized them for the site and posted to both kijiji and craigs list. As for the shoes...dunno - I think I would still try both sites on Monday when I can bring the shoes home to take their pics

    Wish me luck ladies!
    Fanks for the tips!

    Exclamation Another Update!

Just wanted to update y'all! I finally sold my lil 13" half broken tv

I got led on by some guy last week who plainly didnt read the actual description and just looked at the pics

Then this week I got another email from someone offering to pay less then I wanted but hey its still free money coming to me I told him all the downfalls - basically everything that was in the posting and we're meeting up tomorrow evening to make the sale at a coffeeshop parking lot. My sis is coming with me as my 'safeguard' / 'back up' etc.

I cant wait! Out of the things I posted - I thought this was going to be the one thing that wouldnt sell! Im so excited!!!
