    Default Just shoot me, please!

    Well, the friend who was supposed to fix my dishwasher told me he would be here after 5, and never showed up. I put off errands I could have run to wait for him.

    Why can't people be considerate? I think being considerate of others is a lost art. Would it have killed him to give me a two minute phone call to say he couldn't make it?

    I'm not even going to try to get in touch with him. I'm so mad right now. I need to go calm down.

    Aw, I hate it when someone you trust turns out not to be so dependable....
    Maybe he got held up with some kind of emergency? But even so, he could have called. Sorry that your plans were wrecked!

    I feel ya. My sister was supposed to come over & drop off some stuff and pick up the socks I knitted for my neice on WEDNESDAY. It's now nearly Friday and not only has she not shown up, but she hasn't bothered to call either

    Unfortunately, courtesy seems to be a dying art. I've worked in a lot of dental offices, and I only remember a few times when someone had a good excuse for not calling when they didn't show up. I felt like part of my job was teaching people manners.

    that is my BIGGEST pet peeve. i hate when a simple phone call is too much trouble. especially when you rearranged your plans for them. argh!
