Smile What's everyone doing on Sat.?

Not much going on here. DD's friend was supposed to go with her dad (remember the story, they are moved out!), but one hour after she was with her father, she called and asked if she could come here. So, her dad dropped her off. Don't know what happened there. I need to do some housework, vacuum, mop, laundry, etc. We are having leftover homemade chicken soup for dinner tonight. Have a great day!

Being a little lazy. I was up at 4:45 to make sure DD16 got up and got off to work. She had to be there at 6. Then I took a little nap. Since I got up for the second time, I cleaned the two downstairs toilets, emptied the dishwasher and made breakfast for DH and myself. I've reloaded the breakfast dishes into the dishwasher.
I need to wash a load of clothes and vacuum the hardwood floors.
Tonight is DH's 40 year class reunion. I'm not excited about going, I won't know anywhere there but him.

Im not the only one who vaccuums the floors! I dont really bother sweeping anymore

Today Im going to take it easy - since return from vacation I've been schlepping off of chores Plus I barely slept last night, I dont know why I couldnt sleep or didnt sleep well and had a series of charlie horses so now my left calf is killing & aching big time today making me limp around.

    I need to:
    * pick up my meds
    * pick up a few things
    * head over and pick up a DVD
    * deposit a chq at the bank
    * come home and pay that bill online using that chq
    * find an old insurance claim and claim back the rest of my meds.
    * fold a load of towels that I did manage to wash

In terms of non chore things - bf is coming over here where its cooler in the basement vs his apt and we're going to hang out - watch that dvd and then prob go for a walk later and then watch a movie in the theatre later this afternoon. I may ask him if he'd like to strut the big fancy mall with me as well - window shopping, grabbing a few things that I need and getting in my steps! (trying to stay more active)

Who knows, maybe tongith will be a true date night?

I just mowed our quarter of an acre with a push mower

I don't know what all else I'll get done today. I may die.

    * Dinner - Chicken and potatoes with some corn

    * Making some bath salts in mason jars for gifts

    * Hopefully posting some auction on Ebay as I haven't in 2 weeks

I have Chicken Cacciatore going in the crock pot. (making good use of what I had on hand )

DS#2 is going back to school (college) later today (if he ever gets up). So I am basically waiting around for my hug. He isn't starting yet, just has some things to do, so he may be back next week for a couple of days. He is 21.

Watching Dirty Jobs on TV. Being lazy.

Gripey and I are at home today. Done a few things already:
    ~swept the floors
    ~cleaned kitchen sink
    ~cleaned up kitchen
    ~unloaded and loaded dishwasher
    ~fix and ate lunch
    ~cleaned up said lunch
    ~picked up around the house
~ran around with my duster and picked up some dust here and there
    ~put away clean laundry
    ~made bed
~spray painted a door pull and a wrought iron wall hanging that was silver, wanted it to look like rusted iron....have to do a couple more coats, then hang in bathroom and replace door pull.

Now I think we're going to swim for a while
No plans for later in the day. Trying to take it pretty easy actually.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*

We get up early on Saturday so we can get to the lake across the street at six when it opens. We walk all the way around on Saturday -- it takes about 2 hrs. During the week we walk 20 min. then turn around and walk back -- 40 minutes before DH goes to work.

We usually grocery shop on Sat., but I really didn't need anything today. So we are pretty much staying in and laying low. DH is taking a nap and will probably play on the computer when he gets up. I will probably work on my latest art project while he's doing that.

I'll go throw a chicken on the rotisserie around 4 for supper.

Saturday evenings we usually watch TV if anything good is on. Things get really exciting around here.

DH works 4 10 hr. days and has 3 day weekends. We usually take one of those to just totally veg out and do stuff on the other two. We try to have at least one "fun" day.
