we need a bigger vehicle
Well.. we're going to need a bigger vehicle. WE have an alero right now and when this new baby comes there will be 5 of us (two in car seats) We can't get a new car right now.. but will probably do so at tax time. We will get back probably about $4000-5000 - I haven't figured it up yet (dh claims 2 right now). We owe about $9,000 on the car (we got it last year - after my car was totaled
and before we knew we were going to have another baby so soon). Would it be better to put the money on the car loan and then trade it in or just put it on as a downpayment? Or maybe it won't matter? We're looking at getting a used vehicle - probably a newer van or SUV with 3 rows - probably less than $15,000. Any ideas or suggestions?

IF you're financially able to - I'd try to get that new van/suv asap and use thta tax refund money towards it but Id also try to list your car as well. Im sure there's something missing that I cant recall right now as well.

Good luck, it sounds like you will need a new vehicle with the baby on the way. Car seats can take up a lot of room, I didn't realize until recently that kids stay in them until they are ~8 or so now (yikes)!

When we were looking for a bigger vehicle, our pastor had recommended that we try looking around at the rental car companies. These places sell their like- new vehicles once they reach a certain mileage...I think its 50,000 miles or less. It might be worth a try
