Default Depressed about my trip to see my mother

I know it sounds selfish, but I've struggled so hard financially to get where I am, and this will completely deplete my emergency fund. I'm really depressed about it. I feel like I'm never going to catch up.

It will probably be worth it. I really could use a break, and she does live on a nice island, and I would get to spend some time with my aunt and godmother, but financially, it will bust me YET AGAIN!

On the upside, I've stockpiled enough food for a month, if I can just bring myself to eat what I have. Bad part is, it's my hurricane supplies.

I hope my car makes it. I'm going to get an oil change and have them check the fluid and the tire pressure today, but that's all I can afford to do for this trip. It seems to be running well since I got all the Wal-Mart gas out of it.

I won't be on much today, as I have a ton to do. Pray for me.

I hope you get a chance to visit your mom. I would probably do the same thing in your situation (remind myself I have a stockpile, check the car first, and then have fun). I'll keep you in my thoughts .

Maybe this trip was meant to be - on your way out grab a lotto ticket if you can afford to spare the few bucks. You may end up coming back a winner Enjoy the QT with your family and relax! You know you are able to save up and are strong enough to do so again when you return. You can do it, chin up!

Sometimes we have to do what we have to do....life has a way of working out. I believe that when you put out good karma, you get it back 10 fold. You are doing a good thing and it's always important to spend QT with moms.

I hope you have a nice trip and get to spend quality time with your mother. Remember that it's only money and you may not have it in the bank you'll always have the memories you make with your mom.

I think you should go and visit with your mom. I believe you said in a nother post you were not able to say goodbye to your dad. I would hate to think you were not able to go and spend some time with her now.

You and your mom will be in our thoughts and prayers.

If something ever happens to your mom, God forbid, you'll be glad you made this trip. I''m praying for you.

I'm with the others, put your worries aside and go visit, you need a bit of down time and mom time.

    Be careful on the trip
