So sorry to hear about your computer.

Try to get back in touch with Dell. One of our laptops is Dell and is still under warranty. Sunday night DH went to the Dell supprt site because the keyboard was going out. He and a tech support person PMed each other for about an hour regarding the problem. In less than 48 hours the laptop was fixed. The guy showed up yesterday and replaced the keyboard. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Hope it all gets taken care of soon.

I also had problems with a Dell. A guy came out and replaced the motherboard, which is their solution to every problem. A motherboaed is cheaper than technician time on a warrantee repair. But that didn't really fix the problem. I ended up fixing it myself.

I think that my warrantee requires that they have a tech out within either one or two business days ... The contct with local techs .. it's not actually a Dell employee in most cases.

I hope they get out to fix you soon!

hope u get it fixed soon. ever since my mom got a crappy hp i dont like premade computers. im lucky that my uncle and bf know stuff about how to fix them. with me im learning little by little. lol, i thought my dvd burner was going out when in fact the power wasnt hooked all the way for it, b4 jason replaced the motherboard to put in a tv tuner card one of the fans was going out and b/c of that the back (near the power cord) was always hot. the prob im having with it now is that i accidently dl a virus that knocked out my ethernet card, so now i cant get online with my comp and avg (the antivirus program) hasnt detected it. im on my mom's comp right now.
