What do you think about while in bed for the first few minutes?
Usually about whatever happened the previous day, or what needs to be done tomorrow.

I say my prayers and count my blessings.
This is a really good technique for falling asleep quickly. I used to say my prayers, toss and turn there thinking of everything that did not get done that day, and what I needed to do the next day. Insomnia extravaganza.

I thank my Higher Power and then pray for everyone who has asked for prayers and even those who haven't. I then try to quiet my mind and just think peaceful thoughts.

Say a prayer and then while trying to fall asleep, I think of everything that I need to do the next day.

ROFL!
I usually pray that I can fall asleep quickly. Most nights that doesn't happen though. When I have a hard time turning off my brain I just start thinking about the property we plan on buying from my grandfather and the house we want to build there. It works almost every time

I first say my prayers and then I think about my goals. I find it really hard to turn my brain off. I usually have a really hard time getting to sleep unless I am completely exhausted.

I don't think anything at all. My head hits the pillow and I am out like a light.
