    Default My free bread

A couple weeks ago some Sara Lee people were at my mall giving away free bread. I took a bunch home, and gave most away, but kept 5 loaves. Yesterday at the mall there was an event and Sara Lee was back giving away more bread! I brought 6 more loaves home and my freezer is full!

I'm so glad this happened, because we are very tight on money. It's going to be PB&J for a while, maybe grilled cheese too, but I am not complaining!

    Grilled cheese is so yummy!

Tunafish sandwiches are pretty cheap, too. And you can also use the bread for meatloaf and meatballs to stretch them - you can add a lot more bread than recipes call for.

I'm glad you got it, just when you needed it the most.

    Don't forget :

    French toast
    dressing (like Thanksgiving)
    bread pudding
    croûtons

and my dad's favorite lunch -- milk toast

Oh yeah! I was just thinking that I didn't have any breadcrumbs to make meatballs, but now I can just make some, thanks for the ideas!

I will definitely be making some croutons. And french toast sounds kind of good too. I can freeze that and pop in the toaster too, right?

Right-- make ahead, freeze and either microwave or put in the toaster.
