Default How old is the house you live in?

My apartment house turned 110 this year! It was built in 1897.

    That's ancient in the US.

Wow, Noodlesoup, your apartment sounds fantastic! I love old buildings. My house is 43 yrs - built the same year as my husband :-) I much prefer older houses/buildings compared to many of the newer ones, although some of the newer ones are beautiful. It seems that things were built so much better back then though, great quality, craftsmanship, etc. Before we moved in, our house had one original owner - the guy who built it. Some details we're still shaking our heads at, but there must have been a reason...

Our home was built in 1980, so right around 17 years old. I am not sure when the addition or sunroom were added.

Our house was built in 1995. I adore old houses, but we could never live in one because neither myself or DH or do-it-yourselfers.
