Default Left fridge open all night!

Ugh! i woke up this morning and the fridge was cracked open overnight and it was 55-60 in there. It is supposed to be under 40 degrees. I threw away all the meat and other open things and leftovers..and took milk and oj and put in freezer. Should it be ok? Also what about condiments? mayo, jelly, tarter sauce, cheese, pickles, etc.

I'd say anything with dairy, egg, that sort of thing should be tossed. I think the jelly, pickles, that sort of thing would be okay. The condiments that contain vinegar would probably be okay. It's a waste of money in one way to throw it out, but better be safe than sorry.

The mayo, cheese, tarter sauce, pickles & cheese should be fine. What about the eggs?

It's the eggs, milk, meat, & leftovers I'd worry about.

I threw eggs, meat, leftovers, mayo tarter sauce and anything opened. I also tossed the bread and buns because they were soggy. Basically I have water, oj, tomatoes, carrots, sliced cheese, and a few condiments (pickles, jelly, dressing, ketchup, syrup, and choco syrup) left in the fridge.

I am debating on the milk ( 4 gallons I threw in freezer early this morning ) jsut because there is so much of it! But I think I will taste and smell it before I give it to the kids. rrrrrr

now i must go shopping.. grumble grumble!

Awww, sorry about all of that! I would probably ditch the milk. But, I'm funny with my milk anyway.

I'm sorry this happend to you. Our fridge broke down about a month ago and we had to throw away all our freezer items and anything that could have spoiled in the fridge. It's a pain and a hit to the pocket book.

I'm so sorry! Our roomates "accidentally" left our freezer in the garage open and I had to throw away my entire stockpile of meat! Needless to say we haven't recovered yet. :/

Could you possibly save the milk for biscuits?
