Exclamation Never, can I just have a dull day!!!!!

So, sitting here, folding some clothes, the dog goes to the back door to the lanai, and starts barking. Hmmm... I go look and apparently dh left the outside door open for the pool cage open a crack, because I look and there is a little white fluffy dog swimming around in the pool! WHAT!?!
So I go out and say "GIT". It tried to, but couldn't get out, and wouldn't swim to the shallow side! Then it starts sputtering!!!! So yep, you guessed it! I JUMP IN FULLY CLOTHED to recue little dog, that I have no idea where it belongs! No collar! It is still sitting out there, I gave him some food and water. But, he acts real skittish, won't let you pet him or anything! (should have seen me in the deep end fighting with this dog!) Good lord!

Don't worry that it could have been a child, because our property is fenced. He snuck in through a 3 inch slat.

Thank goodness your dog started barking and you were able to get out there in time to save him. I hope you're able to find out who the little guy belongs to. If you don't, will you keep him? I am sure he will come around before too long and be lovin' all over you. Keep us updated.

Forgot to add that while I am in there splashing with the little dog. MY dog jumped in and started swimming around. At least he knows how to get out, but geez. Busy pool for a school day!

I had to go next door to my neighbors and do the same thing when a squirrel fell in hers. I had to scoop it up in a net. It was such a fun time too.. glad you were around to save him.
