Ghost Story

This was a really funny thing that happened when I was away. First, a little background. My mother made a voodoo doll once, and named her "Angelique" after the witch in Dark Shadows. Don't ask why she did this...I have no idea. Anyway, she has had Angelique for many years, and actually has used her once or twice, with strange results. Once I had a BF who did me wrong, and she poked a pin into what SHE thought would be his privates, and his appendix ruptured. O.K., probably coincidence, but eerie nevertheless.

So I'm sleeping in her room in SC, and I've brought my cat and birds with me. My cat was chasing around the house like she was having someone drag something for her to catch. The second night, she was running across the bed all night and knocking things off the nightstands. I told my sister about it, and she said "Oh, that's Angelique".

So the next night, the cat started it again, and I said out loud "Angelique, stop it! I need some sleep so I can take care of my mother!". Strangely enough, the cat settled down, went to sleep, and didn't do the chasing anymore. But another strange thing was, she usually sleeps all cuddled up to me, and she wouldn't sleep that way at my mother's house. When we got home, she started again.

Wow...that's creepy. Gives me the chills. I definitely believe in spirits and have had some experiences of my own. Even if I don't feel threatened, it is still spooky!

ooooh, that IS creepy. I used to watch Dark Shadows after school! I wanted to name my first daughter Angelique.

But I changed my mind by then and didn't have daughters anyway, just sons.

Maybe Angie wouldn't let your cat sleep next to you--she wanted that place for herself while you were at mom's. LOL!

Weird. I've been hearing all sorts of ghost sightings stories and weird voodoo-y things like that lately.

I believe in ghosts and have lived in a couple of houses where you could feel the presence of people you couldn't see. My mom actually physically felt one while she was doing a yoga pose in one of the houses. Then there were the cliche hearing footsteps when noone was in the house. It is strange!

It's good to hear that she was willing to listen to you! I'm quite confident in the existance of ghosts -- far too many things have happened to me over the years for me to say that they don't exist.

Wanna hear something stranger? Ever since I've been back, I've been waking up at night FREEZING COLD! One night I had to put a blanket on and even put a heating pad in my bed to get warm. This has happened several times, waking up in the middle of the night, and even being cold during the day. My doctor thinks it's my thyroid, but I'm beginning to wonder.................................

Do you think Angelique came home with me???????????

My mom isn't there anymore, so maybe she just attached herself to me!!!!
