We are fine. Had a good time. We left before Linkin Park played, which is when most of the injuries took place. Linkin Park fans there suck ass. They were so rude, inconsiderate and just general jackasses. I don't expect gentile manners at a rock concert but a little common decency goes a long way!!
There were two stages. The first one, the Revolution Stage, had the smaller/newer bands like Saosin, Madina Lake, Styles of Beyond, The Bled, and Mindless Self Indulgence. They played from 12:45pm - 4pm. Then we moved to the big stage for the "headliners".
We were ON THE FLOOR! As in no seats and only about 10-15 feet from the stage at the beginning but moved to the back when all pot smokers/crowd surfers invaded our spot.
But it was definitely fun. We will most definitely see some of them again if they are in the area. Saosin & Madina Lake were AWESOME! The Bled made my ears bleed. They were so so so very bad. Styles Of Beyond was just stupid. Not even music. It was crap dj/rap. Julien-K was pretty good (they have a song on the Transformers soundtrack called "Technical Difficulties"), Placebo not so good. HIM....the music was good, but damn they just stood there & played/sang. Didn't interact with the crowd at all. The only time the lead singer even LOOKED at the crowd was when someone threw a quarter at him & hit hit him in the head. He picked it up and said "Thanks for the quarter". I think he smoked a half a pack of cigarettes during their 30 minute set. Yuck. Smokers in the crowd really suck too. Besides nearly getting burned by a lit cigarette, it's hard enough to breath in the crowd without the damn cigarette smoke. I mean, I understand addiction...I'm kind of addicted to stuff too, like breathing without choking, being cancer free, and not getting burnt.
Taking Back Sunday was good. My Chemical Romance was AWESOME!
Linkin Park fans.... all through the other sets they kept chanting over the music "LINKIN PARK LINKIN PARK". We were so disgusted with all of them (and the pot! Jees louis!) we left before Linkin Park even played. I read on our local news website today that quite a few were taken to the hospital for injuries during the Linkin Park part of the show. The article mentioned the cause as Moshing and mosh pits but I can just about guarantee that those injuries (a few broken bones too!) happened during crowd surfing. That is the stupidest activity ever. One chick kept getting passed over our heads. We refused to hold her up. Bull! Finally by the third time I got fed up and gave her a purple nurple
The state troopers kept the moshing under control, but allowed the crowd surfing?!?!
All in all it was good. Two things I could do without...the testosterone freaks who think concerts are for pushing people around and the stupid ass crowd surfers. It was hard to really enjoy it because I was worrying about Dd's foot (she's having in-patient surgery on it again today) but we kept her safe and still had fun. Our pictures didn't turn out that great because we took them with our cell phones.

About HIM: HIM is a Finnish band so I know something about them. Ville Valo, the singer, has just spent time in rehab.
He has been a lot in the media here in Finland. My guess is that he was nervous as he hasnīt performed sober for a long time.
And he is known for his smoking, which is disguisting. I donīt know if some company is paying him for lobbying smoking.
Other than these two things (alcohol and cigarettes) he is very nice, intelligent and talented. I actually like him more than his music, which is OK also.
