Not paying my last months rent?
I am moving out September 30th. Tomorrow is the first of that month.
I would like to stiff them there last months rent. I plan on paying it in a few months.
What will happen to me?
Will I get my security deposit back?

I don't know what will happen to you or your security deposit but it really wouldn't be a nice thing to do.
If you were owed money would you like it if someone didn't pay you?
Hope your money troubles are resolved soon.

Good, now at least they can't bad-mouth you for not paying.

Im glade you payed it, that makes you the better person and I truely beleave that what comes around goes around.
If you haved stiffed them you would have ended up paying for it sooner or later and the price might have been a lot higher.

keep a copy of that receipt!!
my crummy apt complex, i stayed til the end of my lease and gave my 30 days notice even though my lease was going to expire even though i had a house waiting and ready to go.
well... seven months later i got a phone call from a collections agency saying that i had broken my lease and that i owed seven grand in back rent. i had a copy of the lease and my last months rent receipt and they still are calling about the seven thousand. -- they said that they had repeated sent me letters about the amount, and when i asked to what address... it caught them off guard because they just were using that as a tactic to get my current address, they had been sending collections letters to the apartment address (the one they were charging me for not living in!!)
i was afraid that it might affect dh's applications at the time (applying with a couple of companies) and that it would reflect negatively on him. good thing i had saved the proof though.
be careful! apartment complexes are evil sometimes.marie/andrea

I'm glad you paid it. I always think it is best to take the high road when you can (though I have on occasion failed to keep my temper and stooped to their level)

I'm glad you paid it all off. First of all, despite how they treated you, it's against the law to steal, and gipping them the last month's rent is definitely considered stealing or forgery or something along those lines. Furthermore, it would go against your credit and your reputation -- your landlord may be able to track you down and inform your new landlord that you cheated them on rent.
If they're really that bad, I would definitely be reporting them to the tenancy board in your area.If you're interested in frugal living, minimalism and and
