I made it through drop off and got home with out crying. I am missing her totally..she is only 4 ( 5 in few weeks) and looked so small to me to be going in that big school! She did good though. No tears..just a little bit quiet and nervous. She gave me kisses and headed right in!
So now I will miss her until she gets here at 2:50! 6 more hours.
My son is going into 3rd grade and basically I got quick kiss and he ran off to see kids he hadnt seen all summer. I am used to him being gone all day..but it is awefully quiet in here without them!

I'm sorry. It really is hard when our babies go to school, and when the last one goes...well your stronger than I am because when my youngest started kind. I cried the whole way home! Heck I cried off and on the whole day lol over having to share MY baby with some teacher! I wish I knew something to say to make it easier but my "baby" just started 9th grade this yr and I'm still a wreck over having both my babies in HS, when I am most SURELY not old enough to have 2 HS students! Or at least I know I don't feel old enuf lol. But if it does help, at least know your not alone and your stronger than at least one person because you held it together and didn't bawl like a baby...or like I did.

well my baby flies to Baltimore every week to work. He's almost 19 and there are times I tear up missing him.
( when he's home I usually could strangle him )lol.
I do remember that day though when he got on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten . I was just so proud but the tears were falling all the way back up the driveway.
((Hugs ))

I totally feel for you! We decided to keep our four year old son (will be 5 next week) home for another year. He just doesn't seem ready in many ways, and I hear this is often the case with boys at this age. Girls usually are more mature and ready. My 3rd grade daughter goes to school on the bus for the first time this year (new school), and that was hard enough to send her off! I insisted on driving her the first couple days and then she begged me to take the bus ~ she loves it! Last year she wanted me to walk her to her class every day, so this is a huge change.
Enjoy the quiet and getting errands done by yourself! We wait for that day to come, but it comes all too fast, huh?! LOL

Heck, I like when they go back to school...Freedom!
I have one 10th grader and a 4th grader. However, I have to admit, it is sad at times watching them grow so fast. My son is my baby and I'm having a harder time letting him go and grow up. I find myself babying him and I have to stop.
Even though my DD is in high school, I worry constantly about her too. So many pressures and enticements there. We keep on her like white on rice!
To you mom's with little ones...the tears stop only to be replaced by massive amounts of worry.
When I sent mine off to school the first time. I got in the house and sat behind the door and cried, just holding my cat. Gosh I sure have come a long way in 10 years... Now I am shoving them out.. nah.. just kidding..
