I just picked the kids up from school and I went to the garage to get them some popcicles. They were all melted. I looked down and the light was off which meant it was not working! I felt the meat and was all still frozen but I did notice ice crystals forming around the packages. Does that mean it's going to be freezer burned??? There is alot of meat and money in there!!!

I don't know if I'm right, but I would think the meat's ok unless the freezer has been off for a while. And, if it has been, the meat would've been defrosted.

Anyway, I don't think ice crystals on the packages for just a short time would damage the meat. I think you'll be ok.

You will be okay if the meat is still frozen, the ice crystals on the packages won't make the meat taste funny. You lucked out!!! Once, I wasn't so lucky, I had to cook all of the thawed meat...that was a nightmare and almost became a vegetarian. hahaha

My breaker in the garage tripped one time and turned off my freezer. I think you will be fine.

oh that just annoys the crap out of ya doesn't it. week before last both kids each left the freezer door open within a few days of each other. thankfully it has an alarm on it that goes off if hte temp drops so much. it goes off before things start melting.
as long as it was still frozen, the meat should be fine.
