Default This site could save my family

I copied this survey from the Welcome Wagon, for some weird reason that section keeps saying I am not logged in.

How did you hear about frugal village?

I googled feeding 4 on 10 dollars a day, this was 2nd or 3rd on the search results. I read several posts and thought I have to register here, it could save my food budget.

    What interests you here?

I am on a very limited budget and my income is only temporary, so I have to save as much as possible just in case I am still not working in December. So my interests are saving money anyway I can, because my fixed expenses will exceed my income by December. Well truth be told even a job isn't likely to give me the income I had become accustomed to having.

Do you know any other members here?

I don't believe I do. But, I have lived in Michigan, Wisc(very briefly), and now live in Tennessee, I don't socialize much though.

    How many kids? Ages?

I have a daughter 13, a nephew 12 going on 13 this week. My brother and nephew are living with me for the time being because they are even less on their feet than I am.

    Tell us about yourself.

Well that is a novel idea. Seriously it would take a novel, nothing is uncomplicated. I moved to Tennessee from Minnesota because of a death in the family which complicated things for my family down here. I was unlawfully terminated from my job, at least that is what the unemployment judge said. My brother was supposed to help out with the bills, but so far I haven't got even 1/4 of what I need him to pitch in as far as how much they eat in grocieries. My daughter in the mean time is a real trooper she has gone from being a total slob to helping me with most the housework. My sister in Kentucky threatened to kill a pup she had, so I brought her home, but that is nothing compared to the name I saved her from. The pup was named Shanaynay, I changed her name to Isis. But, the worst personal problem(tragedy to me) is that when I got down here, my health went from pretty bad to completely horrible, but the good news is it isn't terminal or even terribly painful, just somewhat painful and energy draining. So I am working on restoring my health on a cellular level and that means using a lot less processed foods and taking a lot of suppliments. Well I hit some of the main points.

    Do you own any pets?

I am a new pet owner. I have an 8 week old puppy named Isis, I have had her for 5 weeks. I had to rescue her from the threat of death either by my sister in Kentucky or the wild pack of children that visit constantly.

    SAHM or Working mom?

unemployed mom, but considering everything, probably a good thing for now.

    Married or single?

    Single, disengaged.

    Interests and hobbies?

I am interested in a wide variety of things. Not really anything related to homemaking though, but I am trying to be interested in this area.

Well, I found a link can't remember which thread, but this woman shows how she feeds a family of four on 30 dollars a week. Well I copied down the list for my shopping, if I can get my grociery bill down that far from the 170 or so a week I have been spending, it will truely be a life saver.

Thank you for all the welcome messages.
