Default What is going on on 9/11?

First of all, I just want to offer up some prayers for all the victims of 9/11 and their families. I'm sure that none of us will ever forget that horrific day.

Not too much going on tomorrow, just watching the daycare kiddos. Then relaxing at home with my family.

Remembering those who lost their lives and praying for those who are still fighting.

I have to go out into the working world, today and make folks beautiful, one hairstyle at a time.

The first thing I did this morning was hang my flag out on the front porch. I plan to watch the ceremonies on the TV later along with some normal everyday chores. Laundry, dishes, sweeping, feed the family, ect. Other than that, not much going on around here.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Traci, Happy Birthday to your dh! (yesterday was my ds' birthday ...he turned 6, so yeah, I spent 9/11 in the hospital having him).

For me, it will be a day of reflection & remembrance. I may go to one of the many ceremonies today. There's one up at my college and one in the evening that I know of. Dh has the day off, so that's nice.

I have classes from 11-12 and then from 2-6pm. YUCK!

It's my dh birthday too. 9/11 is always hard. Although I'm in Canada, I remember vividly that day. I happened to watching tv and saw the second crash live. I was physically ill.

Off to work on some paid to read emails. I know they don't pay much but right now every dime we get our hands on helps.

Then off to get Clair from school and get some housework today. Not very eventful day here.

Today was a school day ... I reflected that many of the nearly 100 kids I saw today hadn't been born then, and those who were were 6 or below. It'll be history to them, as the Kennedy assassination was to me (I was 4 when JFK was shot).

Today is also DS's 18th birthday.

I was at Ground Zero in Manhattan on the 21st of September, 2001, with an environmental cleanup crew. It was then I decided, late in life, to quit and become a science teacher.

Very reflective, personal day for me.
