Smile You know your family loves you when...

You know your loved when you call sister#2 in work about an annual clambake that we attend. Her machine picks up, you then leave a message to have her call you back when she gets back from lunch. Within 10 minutes of leaving your message the phone starts to ring off the hook, the problem is that you just jumped into the shower. I end the shower because now someone is pounding at my door. It's sister#1. It seems that sister#2 called sister#1 to come and check on me because she thought I was crying when I left her the message for the clam bake. Not only that, sister#1 also called my brother in another state to see if he knew what was wrong, and he was calling frantically.

I feel loved today but I can't help but think my family is nuts! Forget 911 in an emergency just call my sister.

LOL I am one of those siblings. A few weeks ago I was trying to get up with my sister. Was a Sunday and she always calls on Friday evening, but that weekend she didn't. She wasn't answering her cell phone and her boyfriend wasn't answering is. I called her work, her friends numbers that I had. Was about to call the base her boyfriend is stationed at when she finally called me on Monday. They went camping and no cell service where she was at. I was just worried and had no idea where she was. She is going through a divorce, and met the guy she is now with over the internet. I had myself all worked up about what could be wrong with her.

My workplace loves me like that - I live alone and have no local relatives, and they are very aware of any time that I am not at work and they expected me to be (in a good way). They have actually sent someone out to my house to see if I was ok when they did not get an answer on my cell phone and had not seen me yet one morning - luckily the person they sent noticed that my car WAS in the parking lot, and they found out that my cell phone was ringing in my office and that I was in a meeting - they were embarrased, but I just felt cared about!

I am one of those kids too.. If I don't get an answer I go hunting up all my siblings to see what the deal is. Especially if my mother doesn't answer the phone.. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers.. so we are a bit crazy.. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
