Maybe try goo-gone. One other would be wd40 but not sure what it would do for sure.

There is a product called dif that we use to take down borders. Hot water and patience is a big key. Also score or make cut marks over the stickers to allow the water to get behind the stickers.

If you can use a Paper Tiger to score the stickers (as Laurie said) that works great. I took down some wallpaper in my old house that I swear was put up with superglue. I used the Paper Tiger and then saturated it with Dif. It took a while, but it did come off.

We removed all the wallpaper in our kitchen with liquid fabric softener. Just spray on, let it sit then scrape off. Good luck!

I use goo-gone to remove stickers. The citrus oil breaks down the adhesive. The trick with the foam ones (on the ceiling no less) will be saturating it enough to get to the adhesive...
