    Hello everyone
    I found this site quite by accident today. I was looking for denim jean quilt patterns.

    I just celebrated by 50th birthday and love to craft. I've been doing some sort of crafts for as long as I can remember. I also love to read. Give me a good book and I'm gone for the rest of the day. I am the type that sits and reads it from start to finish in one setting. My husband doesn't always agree with this, but as I've gotten older, I've taken the Erma Bombeck view on house cleaning. It will be there tomorrow.

    I saw a thread about a t-shirt quilt and will try to find that again and reply. I made one a couple of years ago using all my daughters soccer t-shirts. It turned out pretty nice, if I do say so myself. I don't really sew very much and just decided I could do it. If there is a way to post the picture, I will.

    I'm the type of crafter that sees something and thinks, "I can do that... and off I go". I'm not really good at following instructions unless it is a have to case.

    The jean quilt I have decided to start has been a long-time goal of mine. I have saved jeans for years and carted them around through several moves. During our last move, my husband told me he was not moving the box that said "old jeans" on it one more time. I said fine, waited until he wasn't looking, put them in another box and labeled it differently. I do believe he is a bit suspicious this week as I keep hauling boxes out of the shed.

    I'm looking forward to this group - I'm guessing you have lots of ideas and projects that I would love to work on.
