Question Does anyone own a Tassimo?

I have been thinking about getting a Tassimo coffee machine. They are much more expensive than the regular coffee machine that I have, guess it's a convenience and variety thing. I've tasted coffee made in one, and I like it.

Does anyone own one and absolutely love/hate it? It's a lot of money to spend on a coffee machine, but I am a Starbucks addict so I figure in the long run it will pay for itself

I have one. I loved it for about a year. One day, I just got tired of it, and now it just sits there.

We have one. I wanted one for about a year and a half, and my DH finally got it for my birthday last April. For us, it was a huge waste of money. The coffee tastes good, and although it's cheaper than Starbucks, it's still quite expensive. I hardly ever use it. I've been using the homemade coffee recipes on spam! My aunt and her two daughters each have one and they LOVE it. I think it's really neat, but I have an espresso machine so I really have no need for it.

besides the cost of the machine you also have to figure in the cost of the coffee pods. it's more expensive than getting the gourmet coffee and making it yourself at home. when i worked at a housewares store, the rep would come in from time to time and we'd get to sample the coffee and tea. it's good, but to expensive to me. if you had an office or ran a b&b it might be worth it as the coffee would go to waste and would just be made as needed.
