    Default YUCK...DS13 got pink eye!

And he looks HORRIBLE. He came up this morning and told me he had snot in his eyes. UGH. I knew exactly what was up. I looked in the cabinet, and don't you know it. I don't have the eyedrops any more! So we have to wait to get to the Dr, 3 hours later. Another hour before we get the drops and by then his eyes aren't pink, they are RED. So now he's had 3 doses of drops and the puffyness is down a smidge, not much, and they are still red. So I think he'll be home again tomorrow.

He has had issues with this since he's 2 days old. He has partially occluded tear ducts. We brought him to a specialist and he told me he should outgrow it that he'd consider the surgery optional. Here we are 13 years later, and we're still dealing with it I'm thinking I'll speak to the Dr to get the referral and get it done. He's 13, and if he gets wind in his eyes, his eyes are weeping. If there's allergens in the air he gets an infection. If I could keep him in a bubble, we'd be fine. So I think a 10 minute procedure to correct the problem will be well worth it.

Ekkk! I feel for you! I hope his poor eyes clear up soon!
My youngest gets it yearly it seems. I recently found out I could ask the pharmacist at Walgreens for the drops instead of having a dr visit.

Pink eye is awful and it HURTS! My principal just got over a bad case of it. I've had it several times too (occupational hazard) and it's just nasty.

Hope everyone will be better soon.

I am glad he is doing better but I agree it might be worth it to look into the surgery for him since at this rate he might have it his entire life.
