Welfare fraud, an update
Ok, first of all I haven't disappeared, it's just been a HECK of a busy few weeks!
My friend has gotten her dissolution, back child support and full custody, all's filed and finalized!
So, the eemmm, "woman" over the hill that the now ex husband has been living with for going on 4 months has been turned in to welfare to be investigated, and it HAS been documented that he's been living there. Welfare was also informed that her last boyfriend lived there for two years using his sisters address for his residence. (during that time she collected spousal support from her x and who knows what other benefits).
So we shall see what happens now, could get interesting back our little lane!

I'm glad the system is catching them. Hope they take appropriate action against the fraud.

Just asking! How do you report someone for welfare fraud?? Do you call the local office or what? Hate to say this but many girls in my family make a career of cheating the state.

Hooray! First I am so glad your friend got the money that was due to her!!!! Glad someone is finally getting $$ from her ex!
Secondly, yippee about the welfare fraud. I wonder if the deadbeat will stick around once the free money stops coming in?

Hmmm, I don't know, but I think you could start by calling the state's Attorney General. In the cas of IRS fraud, there is rumored to be a "finder's fee" rewarded to whoever turned someone in, if applicable (Ok, I've been tempted on occasion, but I haven't ever done it - partly because I've never directly known that it was going on, just suspected it.)

Glad that your friend is doing better. Sometimes is takes the wheels of government a while to catch up with fraud, but when they do watch out!
