Two Teens and Others to the Rescue
Yesterday my hubby and I were coming home from the beach. The cars were getting all backed up so He went to back-up and turn around and the car wouldn't go into gear. So we pushed it to the side of the road. I can't believe I guessed what was wrong with it. After living with this handyman for 35 yrs I guess I learned alittle. There was no way we could drive it so we would have to be towed. This is a very difficult for my hubby because I knew we had to call a toww truck. He has always done this sort of thing himself, and sometimes with me helping him. Well both of us left our cell phones home. We were only there a short while when these two teen boys stopped and asked if we were ok. We explained what was going on and grabbed their phone and let us make severals call, with no luck. Now I just have to add this it seems that we always run into the nicest teens. I get so tried of folks putting them down! Well back to the story. I didn't have my AAA card with me either. My son lives only a few miles from where we broke down so my hubby was going to run there and get him to call a tow truck. My hubby is 57 and in great shape, he runs, hunts and surfs. We coulded remeber our son's phone number either. Then my hubby rembered he had one our son's bussiness cards on him(he sells and roasts coffee). So these boys let us once again use their phone. My son didn't pick up so I left a message. By this time the man in the house by where we were came out and offered to take us home or to our son's. He also brought out his cell phone and phone book. Then another guy who my hubby surfs with stopped to help. Then my son pulled up. He called the boys back and they explained where we were. I called the tow truck and we got home safely. My hubby rode with the tow truck guy and showed him a back way home from the shore to avoid to the traffic. When I got up this morning I was still thinking of how blessed we are! The Lord put all those people there just to help us!!!

wow, that sounds about what happened to me this summer when our beast(van) decided to give up its ghost...the whole engine went kaput. I was by myself on a busy freeway. These 2 nice teenage girls let me use their cell phone, they called their dad to help give the beast a jump. They followed me just in case the beast died again...and it did. Then about 4 guys jumped out of nowhere & helped me & the 2 girls push the beast off of the street...then the girls gave me a ride home. I could not believe that they would take the time to help me. I told them that I hoped that I wasn't interferring with their plans & they laughed & said "oh well, we were just going to go hang out, this isn't a problem".I felt very blessed and I can truly say that these girls' parents raised them right....and that God placed everyone who helped me there at just the right time.Amazing, isn't it?

This is one of the reasons I love this country. They did a study and surprizingly, well to some people, the US tops the world in honesty. So, good chance we are also more helpful. I forgot what else I was going to say.
