I've eaten frog legs and venison but that's as far as I've gone gastronomically.

My mom said she ate bear meat when she was a child (she grew up in the country during the Depression). She said it was really greasy. She also said possum stew and squirrel stew were good.

    Anybody ever eaten bear?

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself. I've never had frog legs and I haven't had squirrel in years.

Yum! Hoping to have a friend bag us an Elk this fall on our property. Want to fill the freezer before winter sets in.
