I have heard of cell phones going thru the washer, and still working. Can you take the battery out? Open it, and let it dry out. Here's hoping it will work again!

I've got it all taken apart ...been looking up suggestions online for drying it...says to wait about 3 days before trying it...so that's what I'll do. Here's hoping!

My husband dropped his in the Gulf of Mexico and it still worked. It should be okay after it dries out.

My sister sent her through the washing machine complete cycle and it worked fine when it dried out. I bet it will be fine with a little drying time .

We have used a hair dryer on ours before. Hold it maybe 10-12 inches away, med. heat & keep the dryer moving. HTH....Good Luck!!

I knocked mine in the sink while washing dishes. I took it apart and left the pieces in my car for three or four days (in the 120 degree heat) and it was right as rain when I put it back together.

We lost two already, one in Long Island at the beach and the other my daughter drenched in the toilet. We couldn't save the batterie but we got the sims card out. Used it in our older phones until we are eligible for an upgrade.

DS dropped his in the toilet three days after he got it and I have dropped mine in the sink. DH read where putting it in a plastic bowl covering it in uncooked rice helps dry it out - something about the rice absorbing the moisture.

We took the battery out and placed it in the bowl seperate from the phone. We tried this with both DS's phone and mine. It worked with mine but DS's could not be saved, we had to buy him a new one.

Good luck!!! Hope yours comes back to life!!!

Do you have another battery that you can try to see if that works. Mine fell in the toilet, not once but twice and I used my dh's battery and it worked. I just let my battery air out and then it was fine. It was a camera phone too and it worked without any problems. Good luck.

I have a Cingular or now AT&T phone plan and one of my dd's lost her phone and we didn't have insurance. I bought a cingular pay as you go phone for 18.00 at walmart and put her sim card in it and it worked. It is not the best phone but it works and it was cheaper than getting a replacement for 179.00, even refurbished were way to expensive. Just make sure you buy a comatible phone so that your sim card will fit or get one off of ebay or craigslist. Good luck.

Well the phone itself is working now, but I've lost the display...so no camera, no caller id, no address book, etc...I'm just going to deal with it until I can upgrade my phone ...in a year! Guess that'll learn me..lol.

who do you have phone service with? My son dropped his in the pool and we have t mobile...... instead of upgrading and extending contract I was able to purchase a prepaid t mobile phone for 29 bucks and put his sim card in it and it works fine. He no longer has a camera but can receive pics and texts and such. Call your provider and ask if a prepaid phone can be converted to your line as your number.

My phone officially kicked the bucket earlier today. Luckily, my husband had upgraded his phone awhile back so I was able to use my sim card in his old phone. Yeah!!!
