Today is a big day

Today is makeing me so nervous. My poor dh is on his way to the courthouse to talk to a mediator about a debt we cant seam to agree on. We made an offer and it was turned down so its outta our hands now. I just pray the mediator can help them to be reasonable.

Also right after that he has a second interview to go to for the job he applied for. That looks promiseing and he isnt worried about getting offered the job but its do or die right now. My stomack will be in knots until he calls me.

Just too much at once, when will the tide turn?

I am paceing the floors. His appointment was at 1:15 and he still hasnt called me to tell me what they decided. I would try to call him but if he is still in there I dont want to interupt and if he is on is bike he just wont hear it anyways.

by the way , no we dont pay for a cell its is employers phone that he will have to get back on his last day.

This is rediculous! The mediator tried to get the creditor to agree to a reasonable pay plan but they wanted an unreasonable amount. We have exactly 321.00 a month after all the bills are paid. Now that 321.00 has to feed the family, pay for diapers, and put gas in my car for an entire month. The creditor wants payments of 179.00 a month. UHHH no, how are are we supose to live off of 142.00 a month?

We offered them 500.00 today with 50.00 a month payments. THey said NO!The total we owe is 1,900. Its not like we offered them 1.00 on a . 100,0000 debt. SO in the end they are going to default the debit. We wont have to give them a dime but it will be on our credit.I didnt want to get out of the debit I just wanted to make payments that we could afford.

Make sure you send copies of all the mediation documents in to the three major credit bureaus to put into your file. You can even get a copy of the transcript, I think. Anyway, they sound like Jerks! I had that problem with my hospital bill after my second child was born. His was covered by a preemie program, but mine wasn't. I owed them $5,000, and was bringing in about $800 a month. they wanted $200 a month in payments. I attempted to send them a $50 payment, and they sent it back, so my attorney said they had refused a reasonable attempt at payment, and I owed them nothing. I sent copies of all the docs to the credit reporting bureaus, and it never affected my credit.
