    Default Quick Update on Us..

DH got a job (YAY!!!) and will be starting on Monday.

He actually gets paid twice his first week, since he has another week of severance pay coming. It's a small cut (very small) from his last job, but instead of being an hour commute (most tech jobs in this state are near Boston) it's 10 minutes from our house! He'll have at least an extra 10 hours a week worth of time, not to mention all the $$ we'll save on gas.

He's really excited about it - and since it's for the company we have our internet access through, we get FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET as an employee perk! Woo-hoo!

On the home front, I've be slowly going crazy with asking him to do things and finding them not done. The good news is that over the last three weeks he did manage to fix the washer/dryer (the vent from the dryer wasn't clamped tightly AND they had the hot and cold water hookups reversed) and install all of the childproof cabinet locks. Part of me is really excited for him to go back to work just to get back in my routine again - it's tough to keep the house in order when I don't know if DH will do anything on my list OR go crazy (one day I asked him to empty the dishwasher and he ended up not only emptying it, but cleaning the kitchen - going so far as to scrub the floor). I can't wait to actually know what I need to do!

That is great that your dh found another job and so close to home too. Hoping that you can get back into a routine. It's hard to get out of the groove.

That sounds great! I'm sure that with that extra 10 hours a week, he can still get some stuff done around the house.
