Default I got a new cat

O.K., I don't need another cat, but my friend was going to give him to the shelter, so I took him. I said just until I could find him a home, but he is soooooooo cute! He's a silver tabby, and he has an upside down horseshoe on his forehead. I know, bad luck, but he's adorable. Somehow, the name "Grayson" just came to me the minute I saw him. So Grayson it is.

She said he's 8 weeks old, but he looks more like 12.

Now if Angel doesn't kill Grayson before tomorrow, I'll be fine. I'm going to bed now, gonna close all the doors to every room except mine. Hope he doesn't keep me up all night crying.

I'll post a pic when I can get him to sit still long enough to take one!

I will get pics tonight when I get home from work. He snuggled right up to me last night and went to sleep, of course biting my toes a bit throughout the night as kittens do. Angel hates him, but she'll get used to him. She's been spoiled rotten since my other kitty died, so she's sort of put out that there's somebody else getting attention.

He's a good cat. Got up, ate his breakfast, and did his morning business. He's already litter trained and eats dry food, so that's good.

He's a talker too. Just meows and meows all the time! He's in here with me exploring the computer room now, and I'm sure he'll have the whole house explored by the time I get home.

    Gotta go to work now.

Awwww, sounds adorable. But if you could see me right now, I'm sitting at the computer desk plunking at the keyboard and I have a one week old kittie napping on my foot. Roommate's cat had 6 kitties a week ago yesterday. Mommy kittie is all black and daddy kittie belongs to me and BF and he's all white except a few patches of gray on his forehead and a ring of gray near the tip of his tail. Baby kitties are mostly light gray and white. One of them is a little darker gray with white. I haven't really spent much time with them. Sometimes mommy kittie gets uptight about them (this is her 2nd litter) when a lot of people are around and handle them and there have been a lot of people around and handling them this weekend. She's already moved them 4 times because it's so chaotic around here most of the time. I thought she was going to move them again about 2 am this morning when she came out in the living room and dropped a kittie in the middle of floor. Then mommy looked up at me and meowed like I was supposed to tell her what to do next. Smokie and Skunk, the babies' two older sisters (they're 6 mos old) couldn't figure out what was going on. They actually haven't even been curious and went into computer room to check the babies out. They'd never seen the babies and couldn't figure out what that screaming thing in the middle of the floor was. Smokie was awakened yesterday morning by one of the babies' blood curdling screams -- turned her head right around and looked as if to say 'what the heck is that?' Right now babies are napping and mommy is off doing here own thing while they nap. Maybe later on today when they're awake, I'll check them out more.

Sorry for the ramble.... I'm still sleep deprived from a baby kittie waking me up(and I was just getting to sleep ) at 2 am with a blood-curdling kittie scream because mommy is moving it.

    Default I love kittens!

Don't you wish they could stay kittens forever? My husband saw a picture of a munchkin cat a few years ago and said "hey look it stays a kitten forever". But just because they stay small does not mean they ACT like kittens. Besides the fact that I get my cats from the shelter not purebreds. (no offense meant here, I just have always liked pound kitties) Geez, why am I babbling today? Anyway, congrats and I hope you enjoy.

Pound or stray kitties are the best! BTW, did you know those Munchkin cats are in constant pain because of their deformity, plus I believe they typically have heart problems too. Tangent here, but what people do to animals in the name of "breeding" is disgusting.

Aww. I can't wait to see a pic. He sounds like a sweetie. I love cats (hence the username), but unfortunately am unable to own them due to allergies.
