last week we went to one of the malls around here with my mom. we got a meal from chick-fil-a and the toy that merrick got from them was a book for rainy days. 2morrow im going to make the salt dough and have merrick make a handprint in it so i can make a few christmas gifts. i would just need to get some paint and glue (to make the paint look shiny). some of the other projects are a rain catcher, paper boxes, paint patterns for gift wrap and other stuff, paper roses, pop up card, doodles, envenlopes, painted hands, card board box for stuffed animals or maybe real animals. its a smaller version of the rainy day book by jane bull, published by dk. i might see if i can get the actual book from the library or somewhere else when merrick gets a little older. i actually like the chick-fil-a toys b/c it seems they are trying to give them educational toys instead of junk toys.
