Wearing an Apron while you cook or Bake?
I was just curious to find out who actually here at the village wears an Apron while they cook or bake? I was thinking about going out and buying one so that I don't wreck my clothes in any way shape or form. I consider cooking and baking one of my hobbies other than working out LOL.

We have... *goes to check*... four of them. Not the kind that wraps around your waist, either, these are full-body aprons. I use mine most times, and so does
but since the last time he used the blender and splattered boiling hot soup all over his bare chest, we have both become quite adiment about wearing them -- saves clothes, skin and mess.

I definitely wear them and have made most of mine using a very simple design and pattern...I am so messy and cannot afford to ruin any clothes.

I know this is going to be TMI, but I am usually topless when I cook. DH gets so worried I will burn myself. I fry, bake, boil etc...all without a top, normally. He will come in the kitchen when I am frying something and just shake his head at me. I hate the extra weight of an apron and I do not want to get stains on my clothes.
When I ran the restaurant I had to wear a full body apron when I cut meat and grilled. It was such a pain because I am so short. It almost reached the floor and made walking around quickly difficult. My feet would hit it when I walked. Plus, it was SO ugly.
When DS cooks dinner he just puts on an old shirt. He is pretty neat when he cooks or bakes and rarely gets anything on himself.
We have one apron and it has never been used. Heck for that matter, I am not even sure where it is.DD (19)

Mine are full body aprons, I am messy and if we are having guests especially, I put on an apron. I also like the convenience of having something to wipe hands on if I have flour or something like that on them. I also paint with an apron on.

~Oh yeah! I have 3 full aprons and 7 half aprons but I'd love to have more. I like to co-ordinate them to whatever outfit I'm wearing.~

I don't usually wear an apron when I cook dinner or breakfast, but I do use one when I bake. If I don't where one, I would be covered in flour. We have two aprons in the house and I made both of them. They were fun projects to sew.

I have a few chef's aprons, but I generally don't use them unless I have company coming over.
