    Angry Professional photos?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get professional photos from the photographer?

Our Church had a photographer come in and take pics of all the families and you could buy photos if you wanted to (for a Church photo album)...we liked the pic so we chose the smallest package. That was back at the end of August...

Sunday before last the bulletin had our names in it that they'd screwed up our pics (along with other people's) and we were supposed to call them. Hello? Shouldn't the company call the customer?

I called them...took calling twice just to get a hold of the right person. She said they'd FOUND our pics (seems they were "lost" on a hard drive or something?) and figured out who was who...what?! And I couldn't get any time that I could expect to get my photos in the mail out of this lady...

I'm TICKED that the Church stepped in and seemingly let the company off the hook to call their own customers??? How does THAT work?!

And YES, they charged our card right away...seems they have no trouble with that information!!! Needless to say I will NOT be using Lifetouch photos again EVER!!!

But, anyway...what is a reasonable amount of time have to wait to get a small set of photos?

I have the kids photos done professionally three to four times a year. Normally it takes about two to three weeks to get them back. The only time it has ever taken longer is when we do the Christmas photos. Once or twice it has taken up to four weeks.

Life Touch does our church too. We didnt have a problem at all, I am sorry that you did. It took us about 4 weeks. Walmart takes longer here.

When our church did photos a few years ago for a directory, it took several weeks for the photos to come back, and almost a YEAR for the directory!! There was some sort of problem, obviously, but I don't know what it was-- we just got the directory free if you'd purchased any photos, so I had really forgotten all about it.

We get WalMart portraits back in 2-3 weeks.

Olan Mills came to our church last year and did pics. It was in October. I bought $80 worth of pics for Christmas gifts. End of November, I start calling asking where they are. Other people at church are receiving theirs, another few weeks go by... Olan Mills claims they were received, but since they were COD, I think I would have known that I paid them $80. lol

FINALLY, the week after Christmas, they arrive, I pay for them, end of story. A few days later another COD envelope arrives and 2 more in the weeks to come. Then they wouldn't stop calling me asking me WHY I didn't want my pics. lol
