Need Cheering Up Today :(
Just came home for my lunchbreak - my boss said I could return a lil later then normal if need be....she wants me to calm down. Hence me coming to check out the village.
We had a conference call this am, and well let me just say it ended w/o resolution which was the whole point of the call and has left me not only feeling drained but hurt. I may be sensitive but I know when Im being shushed, pushed aside or put down. I actually got in trouble for speaking out on something only I would know about but when someone else started talking about it and started yelling at me on the matter - they were not told to shush which signals to me that there are being favourited. My own team held me back/pushed me back by not letting me speak and voice my ideas for resolution. I got sold out by my own team and I actually feel belitted or treated like a child! Watch I'll be angry for feeling like this later but for now....Im still irked - BIG TIME!
So for the rest of the afternoon, I am left feeling a lil less then wanted and of any use right now. Im the grunt work person and thats it. Speak only when spoken too.
OY! Thanks for letting me vent. I need ideas on how to cheer up so Im not so grumpy later after work or throughout the evening.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Aww, hugs, I hate it when things like that happen and they happen to me often at work. I just remember what my hubby always tells me:
We work to live, not live to work.
It's only a PART of your day, it PAYS for your real life, let it slide and just keep in mind your bigger goals.
I know, it still gets your knickers in a twist tho, it does mine!
Or you can do what I do that makes me giggle, envision walking up to the boss (mines a REAL SOURPUSS) and pinching his/her cheeks and saying "awwwwwwww, whosabunnywhosabunnywhosabunny?"
Giggle, hubby told me to do this and it DOES work!
hugs,

I'm so sorry! Work can really make us go crazy sometimes.
I have to remind myself often that it is not my "real" life. The people I am around are not my friends...etc. I am paid to be here, I would not be here if I wasn't paid.
Usually when something like that happens to me, I try to come back with my "happy face" on. Nothing bothers bullys more than not responding.
I hope this helps...have a great afternoon and a wonderful weekend!

Aww Shorty, I'm sorry!
I hope the rest of your day goes much better! Go back in with a smile on your face and try not to let them get you down. Try thinking of what you're going to do when you get off work ~ go do something fun tonight!

THUMBS UP
Well, is better that your team let you down then you letting your team down. YOu did your job and that is all that is required of you. Give them the best 8 hours or however many hours they pay you for and go home and be yourself and be proud of your work.

I hope your day gets better!

Big Hugs to you. When things happen to me at work I just start thinking of my long-term goal of retiring early..how I am living simply, being frugal and planning out the day I can go part-time or just quit and go with DH on the road. These thoughts always make me happy and relaxed as I know it won't be mucj longer...just 10 more years of the

Thank you everyone
Thanks for all the support everyone

My Friday afternoon actually got worse - well not as bad as what I had originally posted however Friday is my crazy day...its pretty sad, I know crap will happen so I dont even think of taking that day off. I took a longer lunch and that helped me big time to calm down. My boss is still worried about me, she called me over the weekend to make sure I was alright. I had told her on Friday evening when I was leaving to go home that I'd get over it but for the rest of that day nothing I can do but just get over it. That feeling just stuck with me.
But I had a family issue to deal with Friday night and partially on Saturday and now here I am back to my old self...trying to tidy, clean and purge!
You know that saying "If it doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger'? I think thats the best way to describe my life in a nutshell. I seem to always be able to 'survive' a lot of crap. Go figure.
I love this village - a great sounding board, place for tips and SUPPORT!
LOVE YOU GUYS!

((HUGS)) Shorty
It stinks when people refuse to let you speak or even listen to you when you do speak.
