Roadblocks of Life and the futility of trying to do it all
John Lennon said "Life is what happens when you're making other plans"...too very true.
The manager at the store I want to transfer to is out sick. My car will not hold out much longer, so I may actually be out of work until I can get her to let me transfer, IF she will let me transfer. I have a call in to my district manager to ask him to help me get her to let me transfer, since she was in his district for many years, and they know each other well.
Good things that happened today are that my insurance co., BCBS, said I don't have to be pre-approved for the surgery because it's at an ambulatory surgery center. Cool! I do, however, have to have $100 for the copayment the day of surgery. Good thing I found that $240, huh?
I'm going to play in the dirt today. Seriously. I'm going to work in the yard, the house be damned. I need some "me" time, and the yard needs work, which I love to do.
Love you, FV peeps, and hope everyone has a tragedy free day!

Well it sounds like things have been going well for you lately. Hopefully they'll continue. Keep looking on the bright side. Wishing you well.

Wishing you well. I sympathize with having a car on its last legs - I got a new clunker last spring with half the mileage of my Volvo, so I'm feeling more secure now. I'm assuming that public transport to work is out? Anyway, hope you end up with a good solution, and have fun in the dirt!

Yep, sure is. The bus here is a mile away, and only runs once an hour, and stops running at 7, so it makes my schedule at work impossible.
However, if I can just get transferred, I can bike or walk to work (2 miles to the store here), and that will be great, since I really need to exercise more, and it will save me $$ on gas.
