Default Tent City in My Backyard

I had posted about making a fort out of an old tree branch that had fallen during a cold front. Well...we just had to go buy a new washer & I took the box & made another fort & set it beside the tree branch fort. Dh said that he will wait awhile before cutting up the branch(brush pick up is in 5 weeks).
My backyard is starting to look like a "tent city".lol...but the kids are having a blast.....I wonder what else we can use to make more forts?...any suggestions?

do you have any old sheets or tarps? you could use those to make more forts near the trees if there are low branches. or if there are a lot of decent sized sticks, you could make a leanto type fort. you lean the stick up against a low branch and it makes a kind of tent.

Let the kids figure out how many "tents" they can make. I bet they'll come up with some really neat ones.

    What fun!!

Can you take some pictures and post them for us to see?

It sounds like your children are having a lot of fun with the forts you make.
I don't know how small in size your children are, but when I was really young and (much smaller). My sister and I liked to hide under the picnic table, I don't know if you have one in your yard; but a blanket or sheet draped over that would give your kids a sort of fort . We did this with the coffe table inside in the winter too.
