Question darn weather /no clotheline today

I was going to do my whites yesterday but it was looking pretty grey lots of wind though. I should of because it ended up didn't rain. Today Ill have to use the dryer because it spitting already outside. Does anyone else get discouraged when they cant save and use their clotheline? Im going for the least amount of days in the dryer. And when drying in the furnace room what setup do you have a hm version or bought drying rack? I wonder if i could get my hunny to make something that folds up?

ooops! Wrong Forum. LOL! Sorry about that. This is what I get for trying to answer on two different forums and using more than one window.

In the winter I hang shower rods in the bathrooms and run a clothesline in the basement.

When I only had 7 kids, I could get away with hanging the clothes in the garage on nasty weather days...I can't do that now with 10 kids.lol
Where I live, the weather is retarded - it is always changing...could be rainy for awhile in the morning, then bright & sunny for a few hours...then rainy again...you get the picture...I just can't win on those days & have to use the dryer *sigh*

'amazing"? lol...i've never saw myself in that light-thanks for the compliment I just get up & do what I have to...I guess that in the morning,if I were to think of what I had to do, I wouldn't get out of bed.lol.
I can't wait for Christmas...it does get pretty exciting around here(more than normal). and yes, I can't wait to be a grandma....as soon as ds#1 decides to gather his courage & ask his girlfriend to marry him.
You should see my backyard...about 1/4 of it is clothesline. But when dh cuts down the tree in our back yard,I am going to have to find some more 'T's to make more line..Right now, I have clothes line running on a set of T's...then there are lines running from the tree to the fence boards...from the t's to the fence boards.A crazy set up...but it works

I don't have a working dryer. So I don't have a choice, just try to be creative if you really want to meet your goal. I hang them on hangers on the doorway moulding, short stuff from hangers on the sofa table. Drape them over chairs, etc. Whatever it takes to get stuff dry. Kinda looks like a chineese laundry at my house some days. Hope you find a system that works for you, since it saves so much money to not run the dryer.

I set a line and a rack up in my garage because it has been raining so unpredictably lately. It is working out great!

This is definitely my least favourite time of year, because of the effect the weather has on my laundry. I just brought a load in today which had been outside for well over a week. Everyday it looks nice, it starts to dry, I turn around five minutes later and it's raining - it seems like it rains everyday just long enough to get the clothes wet. It is so frustrating!

I had a drying rack in the bedroom, which I have just moved to the basement for the winter (too damp down there in the summer). It is in front of the dehumidifier and under a furnace vent. It's a cheap gullwing type which doesn't even hold a full load. I also hang on hangers in the bathroom. However, when the weather is damp, and the laundry is piling up, and I keep trying to dry inside, eventually things just start smelling. Last week I gave in and used the dryer. I think I used it more in the past week than I have in the past year.

Once winter hits and the air is drier, I have no trouble drying inside or out.

I was looking at some pics of the wooden oneshttp://www.skyburst.com/dryingracks.html
but not sure have to ask sweatheart if he can make one, maybe the pull out one for the light stuff so less space and maybe some clotheline itself from wall to wall.
thanks everyone for your feed back

I would rather hang my clothes outside to dry but at 39* which it is right now there just is no way they would dry. & I have a washer/dryer processor & drying takes forever.
